Weekly Update - 26/05/18

Hello!

I've made some progress on the next update, which I've decided will be going straight into version 0.4.0. Finally you'll be able to get into the second half of the game: the castle! This update will come with a fair few new characters, including:

• Kruiss, the dragon captain of the guard. Seduce him to get permanent access to the castle.
• Aihla, Kruiss's dragoness wife. The two are in a marriage of convenience rather than of love. Aihla handles the servants in the castle, and will be more than willing to let you spend the night with one of them in exchange for gold.
• Hura, an eagle priest. He has been exiled from his town and is stranded in Ighena. Help him feel more at home.
• Kyrin, Yulius's equine kitchen assistant. She can be run into in a random event while navigating the town.
• Dungeon Master, a bear who resides in the castle's dungeon. Get caught trespassing in the castle and you'll get thrown in with this musky ursine. This content has been commissioned by a patron; you can commission your own character by supporting me on my patreon. The current price for commissions is $8 this month, but this will be increasing to $10 next month. This guarantees 2000 words for a character of your creation, designed to your specifications!

It will be a while before this update is released as I have other work to deal with right now too.

Additionally, it may be of interest that I will be starting a WIP scene blog on my patreon. Starting next Friday, I will be posting scenes in progress that I have been working on each week for early viewing for patrons only. These will be accessible here.

I'll probably use these weekly Saturday updates to talk about each of the new characters, but perhaps there's something else you'd like me to talk about too? If you have any questions, I'm sure I'll be happy to answer them personally or publicly :)

Rags to Riches 0.3.1

Hello!

0.3.1 has some nice new additions:

• Progress on Elias and Amelie's stories. See the brother and sister reunited under one roof. Try to stop them tearing each other apart. Make sure you support Emery when given the choice to get this route. Includes a new lewd scene for Elias, plus incestual scenes between Elias and Emery, as well as Amelie and Emery. In the future, I'll be looking into allowing the player to be included in these scenes too.
• Corrupt Ricard and Elias. Once you've been corrupted, you can share your gift with these two characters! For Elias's route, you must have already met Emery, and did not support him when given the choice. Ricard has a slightly different scene depending on if you come to him as a mouse or as something else.
• New lewd scenes for Jonah and the cult. All require the player to be corrupted - keep playing and transforming and the cult storyline will eventually open up. Jonah's new scene has been written by a guest writer, Kanja. Take a look at his stuff here!
• A few fixes and changes. It will be easier to find Madame Coeur's address and to find Azi's office empty now.

Weekly Update - 19/05/18

Happy Saturday!

Release 0.3.1 is coming soon! As I've mentioned in the past, this update will develop the extent of the corruption's influence on the town. The main effect of this is seen in Elias's storyline. Considering his chosen career, Elias is understandably anxious that the cult seems to target prostitutes. Once you've met both of his siblings, and his brother Emery comes to seek help from Elias, you can run into a scene where Elias is packing up his bags to move in with his brother and sister.

Elias and Amelie may not get along very well at all, but they have a common ground in their love for their brother, Emery. This leads us to a few scenes of incestual content, both M/F and M/M. These scenes can be backed out of, and if you do not wish to view them then you should avoid Emery's content. I have a little more to get out of this family before their story closes, and I'm looking forward to coming back to them soon. After this, there will be another final update in the town before I move on to the castle.

Weekly Update - 12/05/18

Hello!

Nothing much to report this Saturday, I hope you're all enjoying version 0.3.0!

The next release, version 0.3.1, will be focused on including more content in the town about the cult, and the effects it is having on the other townsfolk. After that, I'll be looking to the next area, the inside of the castle, and the different strategies you'll have of breaking inside. That's all planned for version 0.4.0.

Rags to Riches 0.3.0

Hello!

I'm very happy to finally be able to release version 0.3.0! Here's what's new:

• Demonic Cult - Plot to take down the demonic cult terrorising the town! Or, you could join the cult, make a pact with a demon and maybe get a shot at breaking inside the castle. Nothing can go wrong there, right? Keep transforming and playing the game and this storyline will eventually open up to you.
• Azi, your mayor - New character Azi, a fox as voted for, is available in his office in the town hall. He is a big player in the cult storyline, so unless you're talking to him about that he's probably too busy to see you.
• More lewd scenes with Paune, Jonah and Rache. Rache's new scenes become available when the player is corrupted by the demonic cult. Jonah's scene is a part of the evil end of the cult storyline. Paune is just a bit of a slut and has no conditions for her new scene.
• Some typos and inconsistencies fixed. A common error I'm finding is that I sometimes forget to describe players with a shark transformation as having two cocks instead of one. Please message me if you see anything like that, or other typos, ideally with the section and your current species quoted. It may seem small but it's really important to me that everything is right, so please please don't be afraid to contact me!
• Touched up a few other scenes.

The demonic cult is going to be a big storyline in Rags to Riches and will have a significant influence on many characters in the game. Currently the cult cannot be defeated or dissolved, but in future updates there will be new characters who will be able to assist in this task. Alternatively, you will be able to take sides with the cult and corrupt Ighena, something you can get a taste of in 0.3.0. Right now, the plan is that this will be an exclusively M/M storyline, but I might change my mind in the future. It's going to be tricky to handle and write all the different possibilities, but hopefully it'll be a lot of fun!

Weekly Update - 05/05/18

Hello!

Release 0.3.0 isn't quite ready yet. It's currently shaping up to be my largest update yet, looking to clock in at just over 60,000 words total, 20,000 up from 0.2.2.

In this update I will be introducing a new storyline centering on the demonic cult in Ighena. This storyline will have a significant impact on many characters in the game, as will your decisions within it. In this storyline, you can choose to either infiltrate the cult and take it down from within or to actually join the cult and revel in its deviancy. The cult worships a demon called the Ahriman, and your initiation into the cult will involve the demon corrupting your body and your thoughts. This will not go down well with some characters, but most will be oblivious to your only subtly changed appearance. There are ways of persuading those who don't like your new form...

I plan for this storyline to be an exclusively M/M route, though these plans may change in the future. I have plans for a good end, an evil end and a few bad ends too. The evil end will entail aiding the corruption of the city in service to the Ahriman whilst the good end will entail defeating and dissolving the cult and purifying its members. For now, 0.3.0 will include the beginning of the evil end and one of the bad ends. The other bad ends and the good end will become available when I've added the necessary characters, and the evil route will continue inside the castle. The bad ends aren't very sexy but I hope they'll be engaging nonetheless! On the evil route you can start by corrupting a couple of people around town.

I want to release 0.3.0 with a lot of content but I also want to get it out quite soon so that you can play through it already. As well as expanding the options in characters that the player can corrupt, I will be exploring the other impacts of the cult's presence on the town's residents in 0.3.1.

I hope to release the update sometime in the next week! At the latest, I will be aiming to release it next Saturday. I hope you'll all enjoy it~
